Numark NDX 800 Technics 1200 Abelton Joseph Mercado, also known as DJ Dimension and one half of The MegaMen productions and he founded Next Dimension Music back in 2005. But his musical journey started back in 1988 in clubs such as Tunnel or Sound Factory in New York City where he fell in love with electronic music we are used to call House;. Early in the 90's, he began to promote his own parties, DJ'ed in various clubs and was a guest DJ on WNYU's The Candy Store;. In 1997 he started producing and soon after he collaborates with William Rosario to form The MegaMen jumping right into success with a release on the BML label then later on esteemed labels Strictly Rhythm, King Street, Rumba Jams, Nervous, Yoshitoshi and Episode records. The MegaMen turned out dance floors worldwide along side Todd Terry, E-Man ; Lola, Mr V, EBAR, Ming n FS, Jus -Ed and Louie Balo Guzman. Also the duo has collaborated on numerous projects with artists such as the late John Robinson, Duane Harden, Wamdue Project , Henry Maldonado, Jovonn, Jeremias Santiago, and Lem Springsteen. At the start of the millennium The MegaMen injected a brand of sound into House Music's bloodstream which blazed a trail in the NYC scene and beyond; this brand is called 'Ghetto Soul'. This style resulted in several mixed compilations entitled The Ghetto Soul Sessions , a TV appearance on The Roof (Mun 2 Network) during WMC 2002, mixshows and club performances worldwide. This brings us to mid 2005 when Joseph moved on to form next dimension music. The decision to launch next dimension music arose from a culmination of factors both in and outside the fickle industry. As a dj/producer Joseph's vision for a label was a design based on the 6 core elements in the label's motto and the 4th factor; would be the foundation by which he attributes the labelssuccess. As a result of the visibility, saturation and successful distribution next dimension music has acquired licensing agreements with Armanda Music, Nervous Records, Wax N Soul, Jockey Club Ibiza, Media Music Services and many more.
